On July 20, RX Tradex Vietnam cooperated with the Vietnam Electronic Business Association to organize the forum “Vietnam Electronics in 2022”, in collaboration with the Vietnam Automation Association, Vietnam Supporting Industry Association and Vietnam Electronic Business Association.
After the Covid-19 pandemic passed, the vulnerabilities of the global manufacturing supply chain were exposed. Now, businesses must rethink flexibility and greater efficiency at the overall level of the supply chain.
Faced with unprecedented challenges, lean transformation is no longer an option for manufacturers, but a decisive solution for the survival of businesses in the future.
Regarding lean production and lean management in Vietnam, the program had the participation of Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Dang Minh – Founding Chairman of GKM Lean Management Institute, GKM Vietnam Corporation, also a Speaker in the panel discussion session: “Opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to join the global supply chain: Sustainable development 4.0 for the electronics industry”.
At the discussion session, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Dang Minh said that, for sustainable development, each country around the world needs to create its own products and services based on its own conditions and strengths. of that country. Similar to the Vietnamese people, we need to step by step from outsourcing to creating high-class final products of Vietnamese people, and trade equally with the world.
According to Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh, Vietnamese people during 40 years of renovation are all motivated by the theory of global value chains, developed countries want us to join the global value chain, so they cannot escape the middle income trap. After the pandemic, very few countries realized the weakness in that argument, now we need to close the value chain on the products and services that each country has strengths in, and exchange the final goods for each other. This is the new rule of international trade in the current economic era.
In order to close the Vietnamese value chain (MBV – Made by Vietnam), business leaders need to have Made in Vietnam Lean Thinking, aspiration for change and national pride.
